Jared is a multidisciplinary scholar with over 5 years of experience in Qualitative & Quantitative Research, Policy Analysis and Monitoring & Evaluation. He has undertaken various assignments on behalf of International Development Organizations such as USAID, IOM, HIF, HIVOs, NDI, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung amongst others. Jared has also worked with local Public Benefit Organizations in Kenya such as Constitution & Reform Education Consortium (CRECO) and Citizens Coalition for Constitutional Culture (4Cs) in the area of Human Rights, Governance and Democracy. At Samuel Hall, Jared supports fieldwork operations in Kenya, Ethiopia, Sudan, and other East and Horn of Africa countries, including contextualization of research projects, data collection tools and fieldwork strategies. Jared has led successful primary data collection in Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Uganda and other countries within the region. He has over five years’ experience working on projects related to socio-economic resilience, forced displacement, implementation research, and mixed methodological approaches; as well as working intimately with civil society organizations in training, monitoring and evaluation. In HABITABLE, Jared will supervise the data collection during fieldwork for Tasks 1.2, 2.1, 4.2, and 5.2.
